Job Opportunities for the Blind (JOB) is a free national
reference and referral service with specialized services for
blind job seekers. "JOB Employer's Bulletin 1996: A Blind Co-
worker! What do I do now?" (4 pages) is the latest available in
its educational series for employers.
Counselors, parents and teachers of blind children, and
blind job seekers researching data on jobs blind Americans are
currently doing will want "The 1995 National JOB Seminar." Held
in Chicago last June, this 3 1/2 hour recording features 19
speakers talking about their jobs in a wide mix of fields
(includes customer service, a seat-belt factory, home businesses,
modeling, investigation work, medical social work, and more).
Listen in as blind Americans share what works for them in
employment.
Interested persons are invited to attend the free 1996
National JOB Seminar at the Anaheim Hilton (California), from 1 -
4 p.m., on June 29, 1996.
Requests for free JOB materials should be sent on letterhead
to: JOB/NFB, 1800 Johnson Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230.
Specify tapes with either the commercial speed of 1 7/8 ips (2-
track), or at 15/16 ips (4-track).
For more information about the JOB program, ask for the one
page "JOB Fact Sheet" or the "JOB Sample Pack."
